For the 38th, 39th and 40th Cycle, the University of Chieti- Pescara has launched numerous additional PhD positions with scholarships funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, NRRP,to implement decrees no.351 and 352 of 2022; no.117 and 118 of 2023; no. 629 and 630 of 2024 and foster research in the following fields:

  • digital and green transitions
  • general NRRP issues
  • public administration
  • cultural heritage

The scholarships also aim to promote innovative programmes at companies, through the job training for PhD students in the R&D sector.

These scholarships, supported by the European Union as part of the “ Next Generation EU”programme, aim to fund PhD courses in line with the strategic objectives and topics of the NRPP, to train highly qualified human resources who can be employed in public administrations, the cultural heritage sector and to enhance skills for the digital and green transition and for enabling technologies with the involvement of companies.

The funds come from Mission 4 -Education and Research, in particular:

from Component 2From Research to Business”, Investment 3.3;

from Component 1 “Strengthening the supply of education services: from kindergartens to universities”, Investment 3.4 and 4.1.

The training programme includes experiences at external facilities (companies, research centres, public administrations) and periods of study and research abroad, to provide an international PhD experience, connected to the economic-productive world.
